Dear Neighbor,

I am a firm believer good people come from good neighborhoods. Redondo Beach has grown into the most desirable area to live because of our people, neighborhoods and quality of life. We enjoy clean air, an oustanding school system, we have the beach & parks nearby. Then there is our Riviera Village which offers entertainment, restaurants and of course lots of shops. Why would you want to live or raise a family anywhere else?

I have proudly served on the Riviera Village Business Improvement District Advisory Board for nearly 10 years and since 2007 I have been a Redondo Beach Public Works Commissioner. I consider myself lucky for having the talent to listen to opposing sides of a situation and help come to a mutual positive solution. One of my favorite quotes was by Rodney King, “…can we all get along” and I feel finding a way to work together is a lot more helpful to our city than ridgidly taking sides.

I have enjoyed being involved in local decision making for the last several years; I was a good influence over many of the improvements in and around South Redondo and our Riviera Village, I rallied for LED street lighting in our city to show how modern technology can have a dramatic positive effect resulting in incredible cost savings while providing better lighting than was possible before.
